"Oh, how that voice strums our heartstrings! Jesse Meade has long impressed crowds in our town (and a lot of other places) with his wondrous noodling and beautiful singing. Meade is both unforgettably mellow and a powerful performer who keeps the audience glued to the stage." "He is Jesse Meade, and Eugene thinks he rocks."
-Andy Valentine
Eugene Weekly
"...listen to the purity of Meade's country-folk-R&B voice--one that sounds like it's seen heartbreaking things in the world, and still
manages to find the beautiful."
-Annie Bethancourt
Willamette Week
"Meade sings sweetly about love, hope and friendship, asking the same questions that everyone, really, wants the answers to - though when the person asking has such a comforting voice, you don't mind not getting any answers. "
-Vanessa Salvia
Eugene Weekly
"Don't expect (Otis)Redding's rhythms or (John)Hurt's style to be replicated in Meade's compositions. Although it's inspired by such musicians, the music is all his own."
-Marielle Gallagher
Bend Bulletin
"His lyrics read like a journal entry, tender to the point where you want to go give the man a hug. And his singing? Meade's raspy-yet-sweet voice sounds a little like Ray Charles, but also denotes a poetic tenderness all his own."
-Monica Christoffels
